Otro 4 All – The Gift of Adventure

 

“When lightning struck, that’s when my life truly began…”
One moment you’re climbing toward a mountaintop. The next, lightning strikes — sudden, fierce, and completely unexpected. Raymond Landgraaf was in the Rocky Mountains, at 4000 meters altitude just after sunrise, when the weather suddenly turned. A bolt of lightning hit the summit where he stood with his guide. A deafening bang followed, the air was charged with static, and the metal of his helmet burned into his scalp. He barely survived. But deep inside, something had changed.

 

In those few suspended seconds — between fear and absolute clarity — a seed was planted. The film of his life flashed before his eyes, and he realized that life isn’t about meeting expectations, but about following what is born from within and longs to blossom. That moment changed everything. Raymond left behind a promising career in law and economics and chose a different path: toward healing, toward the wilderness, toward human connection and meaning.

The lightning bolt didn’t just wake him up — it illuminated the path that would one day lead to Otro Elements.

 

And now, to Otro 4 All: a chance for Raymond to pass that spark forward.

 

A chance that can change a life
Otro 4 All is Raymond’s way of giving back — inspired by what he received through the “Outward Bound Leadership” program. At 18, he earned a full scholarship to spend a month in the wilderness — an experience he could never have afforded himself. That expedition sparked a deep connection to nature and set his life on an entirely new course. The near-death experience he had during that journey became a turning point: from then on, he knew he wanted to create a kind of “wilderness school” — a “school for life.” A place where people — regardless of background or financial situation — would have the chance to reconnect with themselves and with nature. And that dream became reality.

 

Paying it forward – one free spot per expedition
With Otro 4 All, Raymond offers one free spot per Otro Elements expedition to someone who truly needs this experience but currently can’t afford it. A chance for someone longing for adventure, personal growth, and a new perspective on life.

 

Who is this spot for?
We’re looking for people who:
• Have a genuine desire to reconnect with nature and themselves
• Cannot currently afford to join an expedition
• Are open to a unique, transformative experience and willing to step out of their comfort zone

 

What’s included and what’s not?
Included:          The full expedition experience
Not included:    Your travel to and from Milan Airport (by car, train, or flight)
