Raymond, a Dutch medical professional himself, had been organising his ‘Back-to-Basics’ expeditions for a number of years, when he decided to invite some of his colleagues. Two other doctors, Elkana Waarsenburg (general practitioner) and Rogier Hoenders (psychiatrist), and Raymond himself, then decided to organise accredited medical courses in a back-to-nature environment for general practitioners and medical specialists.
